Winter in the country
At the risk of sounding like the parent who declares, “When I was a kid I walked 10 miles in the snow — uphill — to school,” as we celebrate our 20th year of publishing, I’ve caught myself telling a lot of stories about the early days of this magazine.
It’s certainly true that during the past 20 years there have been many changes but there are some things that have been constant. One of those, of course, is the magazine’s mission: To bring the best of New Jersey’s countryside to its readers in every issue. We have a unique focus: only New Jersey and all the best of country living. That might sound strange to those who insist on defining our state with Turnpike exits, but for those of us who are privileged to know it, there’s nowhere else we’d rather be.
Throughout this 20th anniversary year we’ll celebrate the delights of living in and showcasing our beautiful countryside — proud of all the changes we’ve weathered and the constants that have made it possible.
Happy New Year and enjoy the countryside!
